What I Do In A Week – Blog Edition

Hello! Hope you’re okay! Today’s blog post is about what I do in a week – blog edition. This post is a behind the scenes of what blogging tasks I do each week. I don’t do this exact routine every week but this is a rough guide of what I do. This might be helpful if you’re a new blogger and you haven’t found your routine yet! I hope you like this post and comment what your routine is if you’re a blogger!

Monday is the day that my first blog post of the week is published! I try to post an Instagram post on Mondays as well to let people know about my new blog post and I also interact with other Instagram accounts because I follow some amazing accounts on Instagram! This week, I wrote Thursday’s blog post because I only had time to write one blog post at the weekend.

My blog promoting day! On Tuesdays, I go on Twitter and use comment threads! I comment on other blogger’s posts and return comments!

Wednesday is my blog admin day! I help to run the account @bloggersunitedx on Twitter on some days of the week! We retweet blog post tweets from the hashtag #bloggersunitedx so blogger’s promo tweets get a bigger audience on Twitter! I sorted my emails because I get a lot of emails. I also replied to comments on my previous blog posts which I love doing because I love hearing from you about my posts!

The second blog post of the week is posted on Thursdays! Again, I try to post a new Instagram post to let my Instagram followers know I have a new blog post up! Sometimes I plan blog posts for the future on Thursdays (if you have any blog post suggestions, please comment them) because I like to plan ahead!

Friday is another blog promoting day! I go on comment threads and return comments with other bloggers! I also try to make sure my blog home page is updated with my blog posts and I sort my comments!

Most of the time, I write both of next week’s blog posts on the weekend (if I haven’t already written them) so I can focus on other blogging tasks throughout the week! I like to listen to music when writing blog posts because it’s more fun! Sunday is the other day where I help manage the @bloggersunitedx account by retweeting promo tweets! I also try to sort my emails again at the end of the week because it’s a lot easier to sort if I do it regularly!

  1. Every one say spread the word about new blog post across all social media. But sharing everywhere and responding to comments on all of them can be overwhelming. It is nice to have a schedule for that…… May be I will give it a try once I master my 8 hr sleep schedule I am working on .

  4. Love that you have a consistent schedule; I like to stay on top of my emails as much as possible to avoid the time-suck of having to deal with a pile all at once. Mondays and Fridays are my posting days, but I usually write and schedule my posts throughout the week. I like the idea of setting aside a day for that too, though, so thanks for sharing!

  5. I loved reading this post! It’s so interesting to hear about the way other bloggers structure their week, I’m sure a lot of people that aren’t writers/bloggers may not realize how much work goes into it! Thanks for sharing this! 🙂

  7. Love this post. I really enjoy reading about other content creator’s organisation system. I like how organised and structured your layout is even if you don’t follow it strictly every week. It’s nice to have a guideline.
I post on Mondays and Thursdays as well and post a promo post on various social media platforms. I also use Tuesdays and Fridays for engaging but I’m sad to say this doesn’t always work out that way. I definitely have to work more on the engagement aspect. Saturdays are reserved as my content creation day though recently I’ve been spreading it out so that I don’t get too stressed and overwhelmed with all the work. Sundays are suppose to be my admin day but I am seriously slacking in this area. What do you do on your admin days? Wednesdays are for simply consuming and relaxing. No content creation. You can say it’s my wellness/learning day.

      1. Thank you. Lol. I have to admit sometimes I forget to check my email. This post was a gentle reminder for to check my email. Lol. Now I that it’s on my mind I can schedule it in.
Cool. I read from a post another blogger to remember to check your spam for any comment that are not spam and check for broken links as well.

  8. Wow, you are super organised, I need to get some of that organisation into my blogging schedule – I only post once a week but I struggle to fit it in! Also, I didn’t know you helped run @bloggersunitedx that’s very good of you 🙂
