Hello! Hope you’re okay! Today’s blog post is all about how to balance work & home life! Since a lot of us are working from home, I thought I would share some of my tips on this because it is a lot harder to balance these two lives when you are at home most of the time and it can become stressful. I hope this is helpful and comment if you have any tips that you use to balance your work and home life!
Move Away From Your Desk After Working
This is so important but sometimes I forget to do this especially when I’m on breaks! Moving away from your desk helps you to get out of the work mindset and helps you relax more. Having a work zone allows you to balance your work and home life a lot more easier.
Stick To A Schedule/Routine
This may not be possible for some people due to irregular hours but if you have some flexibility in your work/school, I recommend sticking to a schedule/routine. This is where you try and start/finish by a certain time and you could maybe do tasks you need to do around this time. This can help you establish a healthy work and home life balance.
Practice Self Care
Practicing self care in the evenings, helps you to relax from a day of work. If you have the time, you could also do some self care in the morning which will make you more motivated for the day ahead. Watch out for my blog post this Monday for self care ideas and ways to relax after working!
Get A Good Night’s Sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep helps you stay focused in the day so that you can get your work done in time and your mood is better for your home life. Make sure to go to bed at a reasonable time so you can recharge from your work day and get up feeling energized for the next day!
Spend Time With Family/Friends
This can be with family/friends that you live with or you can facetime family and friends that you can’t see. Spending time with family/friends in the evenings distracts you from your work day! You could do fun activities such as watching TV together, playing games, etc. or you could just talk about the things you want!

I totally agree with you on the whole leave your desk after work! Sometimes I do a fake commute after (where I head out for a walk) to truly help me switch off!

Great tips 🙂 It can be hard to move away from my desk because that’s where I do uni work, blogging and my creative hobbies…but it does seem like a good idea if you can. Practising self-care is something I try to do as often as possible xx

I am so big on having a balance between work and home life. If you mix both too much, you get overwhelmed. Being able to take a proper break is so important. Getting a good night’s sleep is so important. You don’t want to spend the morning dreading because you’re tired!

I’ve been working from home for a number of years now so this work / life balance is something I’ve been working on quite a lot because it’s really hard to find those boundaries when you work where you live!

Nice post. Balancing work and home life can be difficult sometimes. I like sticking to a schedule and just leaving the desk when I’m done and getting a goodnight sleep.
