My Skincare Routine

Hello! Hope you are having a good week. Today I will be sharing with you my skincare routine. I wouldn’t say my skin is clear but since I have started this skincare routine, my skin is healthier and cleaner. I will also be sharing with you the products I use the most and they are all drugstore products! Comment your favorite skincare product in the comments.

Disclaimer: I do not do all of this every day, a few of these products I only use once or twice a week.

Cleanser

I use a cleanser every night to remove makeup or to just clean my face. I apply it to a cotton pad and rub it into my skin. The cleanser I use the most is the Garnier micellar cleansing water. I started using this when I first started wearing makeup and I still use it now because it is so good and affordable.

Eye and lip makeup remover

I only use this when I am wearing dark eye shadow or a dark lip but it is really good at gently removing heavy eye shadow/mascara or lip makeup. The one that I use is the Nivea micellair gel eye & lip makeup remover. I got this in a nivea gift set and I really like it.

Toner

I use toner to cleanse my face again and balance out my skin. I use this pretty much every night and I apply it the same way I do with the cleanser. The only toner I have is the Nivea daily essentials 2 in 1 cleanser & toner. It is really good because not only does it cleanse your skin very well, it also moisturizes the skin too so I definitely recommend it.

Face wash

I use face wash every morning and evening to clean and refresh my face. I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin when I wash my face twice a day. The face wash I use the most is the tea tree foaming face wash. I love this face wash because it is very affordable and it lasts a long time.

Face mask

I use a face mask once or twice a week to detoxify my skin. I apply the mask onto my face using a brush and leave it for 10-15 minutes. The face mask that I love is the L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Face Mask. As I mentioned in my April favorites, this face mask is incredible because even after one use, the next day my skin looks better.

Moisturizer

I try to use a moisturizer twice a day after washing my face to prevent dry skin and keep my skin feeling smooth. I actually use two moisturizers. I use a heavier and thicker moisturizer at night and a thinner and lighter moisturizer in the day. The one I use at night is the astral original face & body moisturizer and I use the Nivea express primer gel-cream in the day which I have mentioned in my April favorites. Using both of these products really makes a difference to my skin.

Lip balm

My lips are often chapped so I try to use lip balm in the morning and at night to moisturize my lips. The lip balm I use is the Nivea pearly shine lip balm. This lip balm is very moisturizing and it has a slight pink tint to it which is nice.

Hand Lotion

My hands can get really dry so I try to use a hand lotion at least once a day sometimes twice in order to moisturize my hands. I have a range of hand lotions but the one I tend to use the most is the body shop strawberry hand lotion. Not only does this smell amazing, it also is super moisturizing and it soothes my hands.

  1. I really like the Garnier micellar water with oil in it as I find it a bit more gentle on my dry skin. I don’t think I’ve ever tried any of the others but I’m glad you’ve got a routine that’s working for you x

  2. Thank you for this! I love how comprehensive your skincare routine is! I forgot that our body parts have skin too. Most of my products go straight to my face as I use my face wash, toner, serum and moisturizer. I’d probably put on products for my lips and hands too! Thanks for inspiring me! 😂
